Overview
Vagaro is a scheduling and business management software aimed at personal care service providers and professionals. Originally marketed to salon and wellness professionals, but is now branching out to barbers and barbershop owners. A multi-pronged approach to generating prospective customers was initiated including, local partnerships, organic online engagement, and order to further increase traffic across our online platforms; we launched an initial prospecting campaign with targeted social media ads
Objective
To introduce a new audiences to Vagaro's platform, making them more familiar with the brand. With the end goal of getting them to visit the website, and sign up for a merchant account.
Considerations & Challenges
This customer base is significantly more male-dominated than our typical prospects in other verticals, but we still need to ensure that the ad is consistent with the brand's visual identity.
Our Prospects
I worked closely with Growth Marketing Specialists to develop a more in depth understanding of our target audience, including but not limited to: their age, gender, occupation, and behavior. This knowledge is crucial for guiding my design choices and making sure we provided a seamless and user-friendly experience from the message and content to the landing page users would be directed to when they click on the ad.
Clear and Compelling
Clarity is integral to the success of ads. High-quality, relevant images are necessary to capture the target audiences attention. I chose an image that reflects the people we are reaching.
In order to keep the messaging clear I kept graphic forms and elements at a minimum in order to ensure viewers can quickly grasp the message.
Results
Ultimately, the effectiveness of this social media ad came down to the expertise of our growth marketing team, creativity, and our understanding of what resonates best with our prospective barber clients. All leading to 13 sign ups in the first 5 days on both Meta platforms.
