Overview
EntirelyPets is an online pet supplier that features products for all types of common household pets. I often create email campaigns in order to increase product visibility and conversions. This campaign was for a popular joint supplement for dogs.
Objective
The campaign needed to be as informative as possible without it appearing too text heavy. The goal was to increase awareness and generate sales of their proprietary canine joint supplement, Joint MAX.
Considerations & Challenges
The email portion of the campaign needed to be researched, designed and completed in two days.
Collect Product Content
When learning about a product I like to collect as much product information as possible and find a theme. As the product is for joint health, the obvious theme was mobility and activity, keeping your dog moving like when they were young. From this I chose how I would select and organize the content.
Sketches & Wireframes
This email campaigns need to be designed quickly without sacrificing quality. I keep the main color scheme similar to the product packaging. The information would be displayed as bullet points arranged on the dog image.
I opted to design the layout as graphics to be easily put together using a drag and drop email builder. As there would not be enough time to design and code a new layout in time.
For most messages, the logo, navigation, and footer were the three common elements required. I created wireframes to differentiate sections so marketing supervisors could review and provide feedback.
Results
The final step is writing a compelling subject line with complementary pre-header text to engage the reader with the goal of increasing open rates.
This campaign successfully generated an increase in purchases of this product.
6 days after sending I observe the performance of each campaign. Using both in-platform analytics and UTM codes.This is an especially helpful metric for the store, providing unique insight into what makes a successful campaign and ideas for improvement.
